I create sonic soundscapes, music and images. My Photography turns the often overlooked details of everyday life into beauty. My portraiture, uncontrived captures the essence about a person in their natural surroundings. I also write electronic/acoustic music from the minimal to cinematic soundtrack.

Hi everybody!
Portraits Art Lifestyle. Three words that summarise my photography. The fourth is Passion. I create images that are outside the box, superbly crafted and presented with style and individuality. If you need images to promote your business, or if you like the idea of a portrait, call me.

A motocross racer and fan for many years plus training as an illustrator paved the way for Rob Kinsey to launch Rob Kinsey Art... bringing fine art-quality to the most exciting sport on Earth!
Please visit my website www.robkinsey.com to view my complete portfolio of work, originals, giclee prints and t-shirt designs.
All my work is hand drawn using ellipse templates, Rotring pens, skills I learnt in my training as a Technical Illustrator at Blackpool College of technology and Art.
Wouldn't know where to start with Illustrator, Photoshop or Autocad design programmes!

Rob started racing motocross in 1974, culminating in competing in the British motocross championship. He still rides regularly today.

In the 1980s Rob's love of U.S. supercross and motocross saw him launch a successful dirt bike video business which meant he became close to many of the legendary riders of the era like Ricky Johnson.

His intimate knowledge of the sport and excellent artistic skills meant he won the accolade of worldwide Artist of the Year in the prestigious RacerX Magazine's annual awards in 2006.

I live in Kniveton, just outside the market town of Ashbourne, gateway to the beautiful Peak District. From my studio window I have open views across fields and the peak district beyond.
I enjoy visiting cities, to see museums, exhibitions and outstanding architecture
but wouldn't want to live and work in that environment on a daily basis.
Commuting is crap, such wasted time. This was one of the main reasons I became an artist and gave up a successful career as a regional sales manager, Too much time in a car, being unproductive, getting frustrated in traffic, cancelled appointments and chasing sales targets with one eye looking out for speed camera's around every corner.
Looking back with hindsight, I cant believe I did it for nearly 30 years. Wonder where my business would have been now if I had spent those years developing it? But as they say, life is a journey we all take and sometimes you need to stop and look at yourself to realise you might not be on the path you want to be!
