About The Festival

6th – 15th October 2011
The Liverpool Design Festival was launched in November 2009 as a new annual design and contemporary craft festival in Liverpool. It is major project managed by Design Initiative with support from Liverpool City Council and Arts Council, England.

About The Design Show

7th - 9th October 2011
The Design Show will be the signature event of the Festival and aims to showcase the best in contemporary design from the North West and the rest of the UK. It will present a selection of exciting and inspiring interior products, glass, ceramics, furniture, lighting, jewellery, textiles and designer fashion and fashion accessories.

Call For Entries
The Call For Entries application pack can be downloaded here. Alternatively, if you want a pack emailing to you please email Frank Collins with your contact details and the pack will be emailed or posted to you.

We now have two standard exhibition shell schemes, complete with power, lighting and name board. Stands at 2m x 1m and 3m x 1m, will be available and you’ll be able to purchase additional square metres to create bigger stands. We can also offer you a space only option allowing you to create and install your own stand.

We now have a choice of stand types; fabric covered walls, slatted walls and MDF walls.

The deadlines for applications and price points:

Apply before May 31st and if you’re selected you’ll qualify for the Early Bird Offer of a standard shell scheme of 2m x 1m at £250 and 2m x 1m at £290.

Prices will revert to the standard charge of £300 per 2m x 1m shell scheme and £360 for a 3m x 1m shell scheme, if you successfully apply after May 31st

A standard fee of £60 per additional square metre is chargeable for stands over 3m x 1m.

We welcome applications from group exhibitors and stand sharers conditional on all exhibitors on the stand being successfully selected by the panel.

Gracias Peter por tu punto de vista, comparto que las redes de emprendedores son una solución. Muchas veces tenemos claro donde queremos llegar, pero no sabemos el camino para hacerlo y la experiencia de otros nos ayuda. Lo primero que haría seria tener un lenguaje común, quizás un formulario a completar por los que quieran aportar algo, por ejemplo, cuales son nuestros éxitos y fracasos al emprender una industria creativa, y poder contar estas historias para que otros se beneficien de ellas.

un proyecto interesante, Roberto, pero como hacerlo sutentable? Tengo unas problemas con el intercambio a grandes distancias y debo viajar demasiado peude ser que los redes de emprendedores pueden ayudar

Hola a todos, escribo en español como una forma de rescatar la variedad de culturas que están en torno a las industrias creativas. Me interesa la industria del conocimiento, internet, el reciclaje y el planeta sustentable. Si pudiéramos iniciar un foro para intercambiar las mejores practicas empresariales en estos temas, y otros también, entre todos los miembros de la red, se organizaria una gran enciclopedia mundial de los negocios creativos.Temas como formas creativas de financiamiento para emprendedores, desarrollando mercados a traves de las redes sociales, el trueque, lo bueno y lo malo del intercambio comercial a grandes distancias, como involucrar a trabajadores en procesos creativos, etc. Los invito a que nos ayudemos en esto. I need help to find an art gallery in Europe to host The London Calling Exhibition, .

I have just been let down by a Gallery in Paris. it was for August and i need to re-schedule a different venue for this date as any other throws out the other dates.

30 artists have been invited to contribute a 12 inch piece of art to the London Calling exhibition in aid of the Ray Lowry Foundation.
Ray Lowry designed the album cover for The Clash
The Foundation has been set up to provide financial support to art projects and the education of degree level students

The artists include Tracey Emin, Josh Cause, Billy Childish, Humphrey Ocean and Kevin Cummins (interesting mix) and it will be an exciting exhibition

The exhibition opens in London in June, Tokyo and USA venues confirmed
