Profitable Collaborations

I'm going to come back to this discussion, but just to briefly share my experiences with others on this one: I've previously jumped into a 3 way partnership with friends (and my partner) and quickly…

Alienate and Embrace Customers

I ended up reading the whole 33page PDF from LateralAction and it was great! I found it very useful.

Alienate and Embrace Customers

That's a really good point, and I can relate to what you are saying being in a very similar position at the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. Something that you may find interesting is that a…

Alienate and Embrace Customers

I am personally guilty of trying to please everyone all the time. In my line of work (photography) it is quite often the unprofitable customers who not only misunderstand the level of quality that I…

Creative Speciality (eg Designer, Photographer)
Photographer specialising in timelapse video.
Briefly describe your creative business - or your interest in creative businesses
I eat photography for breakfast. Specialising in creative custom timelapse videos is something I'm exploring.
Tell us more about your creative business...
I am a one man enterprise, and starting off very small, but small is beautiful. I aim to specialise in producing timelapse videos which could explore a business or designer's work and display the processes and deliver a message using a highly innovative and pioneering method of taking many thousands of still images (using years of still image production experience) and animating them into an exciting but short video clip.

I also plan to build up a large collection of hi-res stock images for sale with a mixture of royalty free and license managed images on sale for between £50 - £300 .

Image licensing is another factor in my business model, as I am already beginning to develop ongoing income streams from images licensed for re-sale (via products ie. printed on t-shirts)

I'm very interested in collaborating with other creatives at any stage whether big and established, or small and ambitious. I'd like to benefit others, and gain value by trading services/products too wherever possible to help me on my journey.

Information, ideas and contacts you'd like, to help you become even more successful in your creative business
Information i'd like is often very specific, and new ideas are always welcome.
I'd like to build valuable relationships with contacts who have shared vision, and who benefit from my input, whilst offering resources that cost nothing, but prove invaluable.

Just get in touch! I'm a friendly guy, and really interested in other creative enterprises.

Hi... I think there may be some collab opps as well; I have 2x ecommerce sites geared for artists; photographers and the like to sell on our formats (canvases, wallpapers etc) see www.ITZAgroup.co.uk for taster; the actual ecommerce sites behind this are live but await image population.
Likewise I have a small animation and stop motion team that may be of interest; and I have photo images (and tee shirt brand/fashion designs) - looking for routes to market - and so there may be some common ground here? Matt

Hi There...
Was flicking through the site and saw you! Its a small world!; given only just met at the Ghost Town Social!!... Set up a group (called UK - good at innovation etc etc)... and kinda blogged; but not really of the type Joanne was seeking lol (more a soap box moment, but hopefully it may lead to investment ideas/opps as well as maybe provoke a bit of a lobby re the age old problem)?

Space run out - will send a 2nd comment
