Liverpool music photographer on tour

I've been busy working at two music festivals shooting for picture agency ArenaPAL. In Liverpool, over a sunny weekend early June, Sefton Park hosted Africa Oye. It is the UK's biggest free African music festival and proved again to be a massive success with 30 000 plus people visiting.…

Microstock photography - a poor business decision

In the past these agencies provided a way to let photographers make some extra income from previous shoots, while allowing businesses a more affordable way of getting high-quality photography. Then along came micro-stock.

Microstock works on the ‘pile them high, sell them cheap’ model and opened up the playing field to all sorts of different photographers… Continue

Fine art photography for sale

Finding a unique present can be difficult - have you ever thought of a limited edition photographic print? Away from all the events that I work at, I love venturing out in to the countryside and looking for the perfect trees to photograph. Indeed it's been a little project of mine over the last few years, capturing trees against a minimal landscape. The first limited edition range are all of trees shot on very misty days.…

Thanks for the article. Very interesting indeed. FYI Julia is fully aware of what the laws and regulations are and, as with 99% of internships in the fashion industry being unpaid, at least she is offering opportunities to her intern that no amount of money can buy. Julia is offering school credit, her invaluable knowledge, credit to the intern for helping with her accessory designs (which will be revealed at NY Fashion Week), and exposure on Handbag.com. If I had any fashion design skills, which I do not, I would jump at this opportunity and would even pay Julia for the chance to learn for her and get that kind of exposure in NY and on Handbag.com. Thanks for the info though. :)
